Royal Fortress of Chinon

Enjoy an interactive and entertaining visit in the most prestigious medieval fortress of the Loire Valley, to meet the great characters of history: Aliénor of Aquitaine, Richard Lionheart, Joan of Arc... What’s more, there is a fabulous view of Rabelais’ city and the Vienne valley and the vineyards of Chinon !

The Royal Fortress is letting us in on their through various reconstructions, immersive augmented reality (with HistoPad) and events.

Open all year round (except 01/01 and 25/12)
